Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.
For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back…different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences….
Nancy's Review:
Having abandoned this book in order to read others (3 different books) for almost 2 weeks, I could not believe how quickly I got back into the story. Whenever I had done this in the past I end up completely forgetting about the book and moving on because I lose interest in it. Crave was interesting enough that I kept asking myself, "what's going to happen next?" The love story was great, in my opinion, it wasn't too overly done and the characters really had a past history together, which made it a little different than what we usually read. When I began reading this book I was surprised that it is about witches and vampires and because those two things were done to death, I didn't think I would enjoy it... but it wasn't bad. The development of the two worlds together was great, and really well explained so that I could understand what was going on. Towards the end, the book seemed somewhat rushed and I wished it was a bit more paced and it sort of ended abruptly. She could have added a bit more to it to end it on a more comfortable (not sure if that's the right word to use) position. Overall, it was entertaining and fun to read and I'm still shocked that I didn't end up ditching it due to all the times that I had set it aside.
7/10
The cover looks very nice. Yeah, I am not a big fan of the kind of book when it rushes toward the ending. Nice review!! Thank you for sharing!
